1. Who we are

Nile Industries ("we", "us", "the Company") is a manufacturer of advanced composite products (FRP/GRP), established in 2001 and registered in Egypt.

2. Scope of this policy

This policy explains how the Company handles information received through its business messaging channels, including the "NI Automation" application, which connects the Company's own WhatsApp Business number to the WhatsApp Business Platform provided by Meta.

This application is used solely for the Company's own internal business operations. It is not a product or service offered to the public, and it does not process data on behalf of any other business.

3. What information we receive

When you send a message to, or receive a message from, the Company's WhatsApp Business number, we may receive:

  • Your WhatsApp phone number
  • Your WhatsApp profile name, where you have made it available
  • The content of messages exchanged with the Company
  • The date and time of each message, and the message type (for example: text, image, document, audio)
  • A message identifier assigned by WhatsApp

We do not collect location data, contact lists, or any information from your device beyond the messages you choose to send us.

4. Why we use this information

  • To keep an internal record of business correspondence
  • To respond to enquiries, quotations and customer service requests
  • To follow up on orders, deliveries and technical questions
  • To review and improve the quality and speed of our responses

We do not use this information for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making that produces legal effects.

5. Where the information is stored

Messages are recorded in a private Google Workspace spreadsheet controlled by the Company. Access is restricted to authorised Company personnel. Google acts as our hosting provider under its own security and privacy terms.

6. Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. Information may be disclosed only where required by applicable law or legal process.

7. Retention

Business correspondence is retained for as long as necessary for the business relationship and to meet legal, accounting and audit obligations, after which it is deleted or archived.

8. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the messages we hold about you, or ask us to stop recording your correspondence. Send such requests to sales@nileindustries.com and we will respond within a reasonable period.

You can also stop sharing information with us at any time by ceasing to message the Company's WhatsApp number.

9. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information, including restricted account access and encrypted transport of data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

Our services are directed to businesses and are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted at this address with an updated date.
